International Trade TrainingExport Import Courses

International Trade rules and procedures are complex, and one single mistake can cost thousands of pounds which could be avoided by a modest investment in training. Whilst most companies rely on their freight forwarders to make declarations on their behalf, it is still the responsibility of buyers and sellers to get it right. There is one example of a firm who had to pay back taxes and duties of over £200,000 because they did not know how to check the information that was being declared wrongly on their behalf. They promptly ensured their staff received the necessary training.

With our team of expert trainers, we run public courses from various locations in the South and in-house courses across the UK. All trainers we work with have first-hand experience of international operations, and are Institute of Export Qualified. Our head trainer has been a director and senior manager within the chemical manufacturing sector.

Import and Export Courses

The public course programme takes you from a very basic introductory overview for new staff and managers within export and import functions. It navigates the web of documents and regulations, shipping methods, costing and quotations, and of methods of payment. Specialist courses are available in Documentary Letters of Credit, International Shipping Terms (Incoterms) and Surviving Customs Audits.
